Which graphics cards?
NVIDIA cards with 6 GB of VRAM or more (8 GB for Multi-View and Enhance Detail), with a recent driver. AMD cards and Linux are supported by the code but not tested yet.
Does it need the internet?
Only to download the engine and the models, once. Generating works offline.
How long does a model take?
About a minute on an RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (Pixal3D, High, 150,000 faces: 78 s; TRELLIS.2 High: 52 to 72 s). The first generation after starting Blender takes 20 to 30 s more while the engine starts.
Which picture works best?
One object, fully in the frame, on a plain background, seen from the front or a three-quarter view. The background is removed automatically. Small pictures (under 512 px) are enlarged first.
Can I use the models I make in my projects?
TRELLIS.2 and Pixal3D are released under the MIT license. Models refined with Enhance Detail are subject to Hi3D's Acceptable Use Policy, which you accept when you add the option.
Where are the files?
In the engine folder chosen at install. Removing the engine keeps your input pictures and output models.
