Blend2Max Plus
Can I use this without 3ds Max, just for baking in Blender?
Yes — the procedural bake and high-to-low bake work as standalone Blender
tools even if you never use the Max scripts.
What happens if my own material is accidentally named "Glass" or "Water"?
Those words (and a few others — GlassThin, Liquid, SSS, Emissive) are
reserved by the add-on when they appear as the first word of a material
name. If you have an ordinary PBR material with one of these names, add
any extra character or rename it so it doesn't start with the reserved word.
Does the glass/liquid preset get exported as a texture?
No. Presets are carried over by name (a reserved prefix in the material
name, e.g. `M_Glass_`) and rebuilt as native refraction/IOR/absorption
parameters in Corona or V-Ray — not baked or textured.
Do I need both the Corona and V-Ray scripts?
No — install only the one matching your renderer. Both read the same manifest format, so nothing else changes in the Blender-side workflow.
