Blender Lighting Mode Only
Why are my foliage leaves or car windows rendering as solid gray blocks instead of transparent cards?
The addon identifies transparency by scanning for native "Alpha" connections on texture nodes or looking for active Transmission/Glass flags. If you are using heavily customized or deeply nested third-party asset node groups that mask their transparency internal outputs away from the standard surface root channels, the script may not find them. Ensure your alpha connections map out to standard root slots or uncover the mesh geometry from deep group wrappers to allow the pass to read them accurately.
Why does the clay mode not apply to some of my scene assets or scatter collections?
The addon relies on accessing local object material slots. It will not work on linked external libraries or Collection Instances because Blender sets their internal data blocks to read-only. To resolve this, simply select the instance or asset pack scatter and convert it to local geometry by selecting Object > Apply > Make Instances Real (or by creating a local Library Override).
Does this addon permanently modify or risk breaking my original scene materials?
No. The addon works completely non-destructively. It caches a string reference of your original material assignments in the background, generates temporary diagnostic material data blocks prefixed with "__BLMO_DIAG_", and swaps them. Disabling the diagnostic view restores your exact baseline material channels and cleanly removes the temporary diagnostic blocks from your file memory.
