BoxPack

NineLine in Modeling

Does BoxPack use real mesh collision or physics simulation?
No. BoxPack uses a bounding-box based packing method. This means objects are placed based on their rectangular bounding boxes, not their exact mesh shape. For best results, item objects should have their origin set to the bottom center of their bounding box. The Target Box can be any object, but it will also be treated as a bounding-box container. If the target or item objects are heavily rotated or have unusual shapes, applying transforms and using simple box-like shapes will give more predictable results.
What does BoxPack do?

BoxPack is a Blender Extension that automatically fills a target box object with objects from a selected collection. It is useful for quickly creating packed boxes, storage props, product packaging previews, warehouse assets, and background scene details.

The generated objects are created as linked duplicates by default, so the result stays lighter while you preview and adjust the layout.
