Boxwright builds folding boxes in Blender as one continuous cardboard sheet: rigid panels joined by bendable crease bands, so there are no gaps at the corners. Pick a style, set the size, fold it live in the viewport, prepare your artwork and bake a clean mesh with a rig you can animate.
What you get
- 27 box styles in 5 sections (Basics, Gift, Food, Retail, Shapes): mailer, tray, shipping box, tuck end, sleeve, pyramid, prism, gable, drawer, telescope, takeout, display, book box, hang-tab carton, cake box, envelope, double-wall tray, tapered tub, petal box, shoulder box, suitcase, clamshell, pizza box, presentation folder and more.
- Live fold preview: Flat, Assembled, Closed, or each crease by hand. Two-piece boxes also slide.
- Dimensions with per-style limits, board thickness, crease width and flap shape.
- Artwork tools: UV template export (SVG and PNG, outside and inside), load your art on either face, UV check grid.
- Cardboard materials: six presets, including a procedural corrugated cut edge.
- Finalize and Build Rig: bakes a normal mesh plus an armature with one control bone per panel, ready for Pose Mode. You can edit the final mesh and the weights follow.
- Photo studio: backdrop, three lights and a framed camera in one click.
Good to know
- Requires Blender 5.0 or newer. No external dependencies.
- A finalized box is a plain mesh with an armature: the .blend opens and animates with or without the add-on installed.
- Built for mockups, renders and animation. The UV template is an artwork guide, not a production dieline (no millimetre scale or bleed).
