Hi eti,
Thanks for the review. Are you sure you are selecting the cablecambase before pressing "create/connect cable"? That is how you use that function as displayed in our demo video and should resolve the issue you are having. We just tested again in 2.9 and everything is working. Hope this helps.

Sorry for this inconvenience. Make sure you are using the download file titled Cablecam2_8Install. Installing Cablecam in Blender 2.8 can be done in the way shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ma-f_9k1FI
