Camera Orbit - One-Click Orbit Rigs With Strobe Backgrounds
Do I need the add-on installed to render?
No. Every driver is a sandboxed expression, so the file renders the same on a farm or a machine without Camera Orbit, even with Python auto-run off. If your pipeline refuses drivers, bake them to keyframes first.
Will it change my existing camera animation?
No. The camera is parented in place, its keyframes keep playing and the orbit adds on top. Remove Rig puts the camera back on its original parent.
My orbit slides instead of circling the subject. Why?
The pivot is not on the subject. Select the subject and press Pivot to Selection, or drag Distance until the subject holds still. The camera does not move either way.
Can I use several cameras?
Yes. Rig each one and bind them to timeline markers. Each strobe plane shows only while its own camera is active, and each turntable starts on its own cut.
I can't see the strobe plane.
It sits behind every object in the scene, so a backdrop or a large floor in view covers it. Hide the backdrop, or leave the plane off for that shot.
Does it work with orthographic cameras?
Yes. The plane follows orthographic zoom live, as it follows focal length on a perspective camera.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes. It is GPL with source included.
