Is there a filter limit or performance consideration?
Blender versions before 4.5 are limited to 8 active browser filters per stack. Blender 4.5+ has no fixed limit, although larger effect stacks and higher-resolution images may require more processing time.
Does it work with both Blender renders and still images?
Yes. Compositor FX can be used with your Blender scene render workflow and still images, making it suitable for both rendered scenes and image-processing workflows.
Can I adjust individual filters?
Yes. Each browser filter has its own Strength control, and many filters include additional parameters. You can also reorder, duplicate, reset, enable/bypass or remove individual effects.
Can I create and save my own effects?
Yes. You can create Custom Filters from selected compositor nodes and save complete effect stacks as reusable Looks. Looks and custom filters can also be imported and exported as JSON.
Which Blender versions are supported?
Compositor FX is designed for Blender 4.0–5.2. The Extension package requires Blender 4.2 or newer, and a separate Legacy package is included for Blender 4.0–4.1.

Compositor FX is a Blender compositor toolkit with 68 ready-to-use filters and 15 image adjustments for color grading, cinematic effects, film looks, lens effects, detail processing and stylization. It also supports custom filters and reusable Looks.
