Crumble — Complete Damage & Weathering Toolkit
Crumble Toolkit 1.2.0 — What's new since 1.0.0
PERFORMANCE
- Much faster setup: each object's node tree is now copied from a template instead of being rebuilt node by node (~200x faster). Damage ON, Relief ON, Debris ON and Copy to Selected are instant, even on dozens of objects.
- Fewer redundant updates: panel changes, stage resets and Copy to Selected push all values in one pass with a single viewport refresh.
- Smoother custom-texture editing: the relief/debris texture is re-baked only once you stop dragging a slider (true debounce), instead of every 0.3 s during the drag.
DROP TO FLOOR — rewritten and fixed
- Link to the Floor now uses a footprint controller: a wire ring projected onto the floor, with the object vertex-parented to it. The object takes the exact orientation of the face under the controller — no more smoothed/interpolated normals on angular terrain — and follows it live while you slide the ring.
- Align to Floor no longer doubles the tilt on objects that were already adapted with Put on the Floor; it can be toggled at any time and the object re-seats itself.
- Linked objects no longer float above slopes: the contact is fitted on the object's real lowest point, and refitted when you toggle Align or change the Floor.
- Put on the Floor + Adapt Orientation is now idempotent: it aligns the object's own up axis with the surface, so dropping twice never adds tilt, an object resting on an edge lands flat on a face, and the rotation around Z (yaw) is preserved. The drop distance is re-measured after the tilt so the lowest point really touches the ground.
- Manual nudges and rotations on a linked object are kept as offsets; Unlink leaves the object exactly where it is. Links made with 1.0.0 are still recognized.
COMPATIBILITY
- Node trees are unchanged: files created with 1.0.0 open as-is, no rebuild needed.
- Blender 5.0+, tested through 5.2.
