DaeXport | One-Click DAE (Collada) Export
Does this work in Blender 5+?
Yes. Blender 5+ removed the official Collada exporter, but DaeXport includes a custom exporter that restores full DAE export functionality.
Will this modify my original objects or materials?
No. DaeXport uses temporary copies for baking and export. Your original meshes, materials, and UVs remain completely untouched.
What Blender versions are supported?
Blender 4.5 and above, including Blender 5+.
Which render engine is required?
Cycles is required for texture baking. The export process itself is independent of the render engine.
What does the export include?
You get:
- A clean .dae (Collada) file
- A baked texture atlas image
Everything is organized into an export folder automatically.
What texture resolutions are supported?
512, 1024, 2048, 4096, and up to 8192.
Does it support batch exporting multiple objects?
Yes. You can select multiple objects and export them together in one operation.
Is this suitable for game engines?
Yes. The exported DAE files are compatible with game engines, AR/VR platforms, and cross-software workflows that support Collada.
What if I encounter an issue?
Support is available via email. The addon is actively maintained and updated.
