This is a great tool to quickly lay in clothing. I look forward to some more explanation around some of the more advanced topics, like zippers and binding in general, but I'm impressed.

Extremely fast to create clothing for characters from nothing and the results are excellent. Superb in fact! I found it enjoyable.

A few things to note though. I haven't spent much time yet learning how to use some of the other features within the tool like bind, so please keep this in mind with my rating.

It's great the creator is already starting to release a few tutorials on how to use the various features...it gives me a better idea of the ideal workflow from start to finish. That's the one area I feel is a bit lacking at it's current state given there's a lot we can do, but in due time I think more tutorials will come available to help.

    Great tool!

DivineCut works ok but should have a female mannequin and a larger library.

      Hi James,
The mannequin with walk cycle is in your downloads and the library is what I’m working to update currently :)

For years I have been looking for a replacement for MD, although DivineCut is not way near MD, it serves its purpose. However, it does need to add a few buttons to avoid the hurdle of going all the way to the cloth panel, especially the self-collision.

I've tested this over the past few days and while the idea of this addon is great, it feels a bit janky to use (mirror modifier merging while sculpting or editing in particular) as well as somewhat limited in the style of clothing you can effectively make by only using this addon.

While the addon does have its strengths and some great QoL and utility features as well as a bunch of nice assets, it doesn't feel like I'm really saving any time compared to good old modeling by hand, because outside of the base shape that it generates, it still largely comes down to that.

I guess it really depends on your use case.
I can see this being useful for quick modern fashion creation, but for my project I need some clothes that aren't your ordinary modern style and go more towards historical attire and there the addon falls a bit short in terms of actual design functionality.

Hi AC! Thank you for your rating, compliments, and critique. You are right, historical style garments are not Divinecut's strong suit at this time. That's a bit more of a special domain, so development in that style of clothing will be in future. It will earn your 5 stars in future when that domain is added and we start looking into more traditional clothings :) Also sorry about any issues you experienced when sculpting with the mirror modifier. I perfected it as shown in the feature reel but then Blender immediately released a new version which cancelled it and made it misbehave sometimes, but I will have it sorted in the next coming update.
