Been excited to see how efficient this addon is, and I was simply trying to simulate a character sitting down on a chair with a layered long dress. Unfortunately the addon couldn’t effectively get the right details after I added a skirt with this addon. It would start glitching or lagging so hard when the character with all cloth added would bake the animation to sit down, it wouldn’t touch the floor right, and if I would add a collision objects the whole blender file would just lag to the max, so no floor collision, which was crucial because I wanted to see who the long skirt would collide with the ground. But for other animations like walk cycles or just anything that doesn’t required collision objects to interact with the cloth other than the character itself, then this addon will do the trick.

Basically this addon is simple and great for dancing animations, walking, and just any type of animation that has all the limbs wide open.

But for close physics detailing, you wanna stick with Marvelous D.

Some interesting features I was excited to experiment with but the addon is automatically opening a youtube tutorial video if I do certain steps (ie, I hit puff and it opened firefox right to the point of a tutorial discussing the feature) or going straight to the blender market page, which is really unacceptable.
Also it appears the dev is deleting low reviews which is unfortunate

Hi Aaron. I am not deleting reviews and I do not have the power to. Kindly read the Blendermarket policy on reviews. Your review is fair and describes the product so it can not be removed. People have been cussing and more in their dissatisfaction with the selected festive products, meanwhile we creators are offering what we can and do not deserve to be destroyed for it (I'm even privately offering another addon completely free to everyone who downloaded Divine so everyone can be happier (to be announced very soon)). Regarding the youtube feature, The only time this happens is if you try to use the puff function in an incorrect manner. It only opens once throughout your use and it opens the point of the video which will teach you how to use the function properly. If you messaged me about this I would learn that you do not like it so I will add a function to disable all assists in preferences. Please message me and lets create a wonderful addon together. Many of the improvements so far are requests from users which I listen to and implement. Thank you for trying it out, it will get even better with time

Poor documentation, there's none for the trousers..

The add-on is simple and fast!
No inflated menu for the sake of pricing like the other cloth add-ons!

It's great for upper body simple garments but we are having issues with more detailed and complex avatars considering there's no docs for the less knowledgeable in Blender.

    Will wait for updates!

      Hi Tony!
Thank you for your feedback. DivineCut has been released for little over a week.
I have put out two tutorials so far with more in the works. I'm just balancing between tutorials and developing the addon according to feedback.
Someone asked the other day how to make a hoodie, so just yesterday I've been able to add an 'Add Hoodie' button, so the addon does it for you with a single click.
But as you can see, while I was doing that it seems you were struggling with something which I didn't know about.
If you have any inquiries please let me know in my blendermarket inbox, I have gladly assisted many and always respond as quickly as possible. We can grow this together with communication so do feel free to send a message if you need any assistance :)

I have to register even to use it; it delays everything, and the advertised library is not included. 2 stars because it kinda works

I am so so tired of these wicked reviews. You don't have to register anything at all, why are you lying. As a free trial, when you click the register button it enables the addon for you immediately. It only opens a notion page which welcomes you and gives you my contact details if you need assistance with anything. The library is in the package. There is no way you can have the addon without the library. It is zipped in the package which you unzipped to get the addon. It also comes with a mannequin and the installation video. God I am so tired of this. I am so so tired.

While it has some useful, simple, straightforward ideas, the fact it is a software that constantly phones home which goes against what GPL is sort of about, failed to do what I want, and then crashed Blender 3.5 so hard I could no longer boot it after trying to change some clothing makes me think this is actually not a good deal at all. I'm happy I only tried the sample because I am extremely against having something constantly license checking like that even though it has no right to do so.

It took me far too long to scrub that from my install so it would even boot, and the project I was hoping to use it for was corrupted with a total loss of progress from when I started using it. Never again.

Hello Sham! I know what happened and your project is completely safe. Your Blender 3.5 is fine as well. As mentioned please send me a message if there are any issues at all. The trial version is different from the standard version. There's actually an updated version in your orders tab. The old version shutdown caused the temporary 5-minute crash. I'm so so sorry about this, for that the 2-stars is deserved and I take full responsibility. It's up and running fine now and the new version would never cause such a crash, but please message me so we can sort out any issues you might still be facing and so I can compensate for the moments it crashed

While it's nice to see an alternative to cut and sew, and there are some good ideas here, I found this to be way too limited. I had assumed one could make their own templates but it appears that I am stuck editing a small set of presets. Am I missing something?

After you spend some time with Divine and discover its power, please contact superhive to make an adjustment to your rating. 1 star is extremely extremely unfair and uncalled for. I spent months upon months creating a tool that has too many features to list, and you call it limited? It generates perfect quad topology clothes of different types in seconds, Trousers, Shirts, T-shirts(Normal + V-neck), Blazer, kimono, skirts, jumpsuit, and more, has a system to customise cloth behaviour, inflation, deflation, pressure, stiffness, support for game engine with cloth to keys, game mode for making clothes rigged for game engines, a VERY large collection of carefully crafted custom accessories, pockets, earrings setup with physics, divine print to stamp and bake images onto your clothes (different from the decal tools out there), it has insane detections under the hood that autodetect things you're trying to do, such as binding where it automatically switches to the armature binding system if your geometry doesn't allow for the standard binding method (one of MANY smart functions so you never even have to know what's happening), Sound effects and sound that tells you what's happening if you run into issues, a chain and necklace library and SYSTEM that allows you create your own dynamic chains and necklaces by the click of a button, it has a cloth layer collision system never implemented before, it has functionality that allows you ANIMATE CLOTH INTERACTIONS so characters can grab different parts of the garment and more, it has a custom fur system that lets you add different fur types to your cloth, insane support as you may have seen from other reviews that I am one of the most active developers in the discord, responding to anyone's needs in a matter of minutes, a zip and thread system, GREAT default physics using the best settings possible in Blender, clothes generate on the right layers automatically so when you create a 3 piece suit IT KNOWS the jacket goes over trousers and a shirt in-between or whichever garment you make, laces, shoes, boots, glasses, all the accessories in the mega asset pack and SO MUCH MORE. The UI may look very simple because I never want to bombard users with all the functions that are there, but buttons show up when necessary, so DO NOT underestimate what this tool has under the hood. There are literally no limits, you bought it on sale and you come to give 1 star calling it limited? I can only say it doesn't make medieval style clothing at this time but besides that come on Brent. That's harsh and very uncalled for. I've worked WAY too hard for this. Have a look at this feature reel from the last update and then please contact superhive to edit your rating (https://youtu.be/P4cqyhEg6gs) I'll be grateful if you do. Take care

It's disappointing that the developer removed DivinePrint from DivineCut but left the tutorials on how it works, even though the feature is no longer available (in DivineCut). I hope this oversight can be addressed to avoid confusion in the future

    • Alexander

DivinePrint is an extension for DivineCut. It is sold separately (as stated clearly even in the launch video). It is optional and can be purchased on the product page. It is fairly new and was never a part of DivineCut. When you install it, it appears in the DivineCut menu. Please contact me next time if you’re confused about anything.
