Domain Warp - Organic Deform and Seamless Loops
Is this the same as Blender's Warp modifier?
No. Blender's Warp modifier drags geometry from one empty towards another. Domain Warp folds the shape through itself, pass after pass, which is what makes it look grown.
Do I need the add-on installed to render?
No. The node group and the loop keyframes are saved in the .blend, so the file renders on a farm or on a machine without Domain Warp.
Which render engines work?
All of them. The result is ordinary geometry; Cycles, EEVEE and Workbench show the same shape.
Can I turn the result into real geometry?
Yes. Apply the modifier like any other and the warped mesh is yours to edit.
Will it slow my scene down?
The warp itself is light. Density is what costs: each step multiplies the face count by four. Keep it low on meshes that already have plenty of vertices.
Why does my object look sheared instead of tangled?
The Frequency is too low for its size. On an object about one unit across, start around Frequency 2, and scale it down for bigger objects.
Does it work in Blender 4.x or 5.1?
No. Domain Warp needs Blender 5.2 or newer.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes. It is GPL with source included.
