Does this addon work on Mac?
Yes! But you need a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor (so an M1, M2 etc), the addon will not run on older Macs with an Intel processor. Also note that creating dense point clouds is a Windows-only feature.
Can this addon track stationary shots?
Yes, this addon can track shots where the camera only rotates. For those shots it will not use the main photogrammetry solver but instead will use Blender's internal motion tracker.
How does the automatic masking work?
Before tracking you can enable 'Automatic masking' and select which object types you want to have automatically detected and masked to improve tracking (if your shot has a moving car or person for example, check those options). The addon will try to detect these objects and place a black rectangle over them. So you cannot use this feature for compositing, but it can result in a better track.

How do I orient my scene after tracking?
After tracking your shot, edit the 3D point cloud, select 3 vertices on the floor and press F to make a triangle. Now press the 'Orent scene' button in the 'Scene setup' section and the camera and point cloud are moved and rotated to match your 3D world. The normal of the face will point up. Press the button again to use a different corner as the world origin.
You can now also just select a bunch of vertices on the ground and press the 'Orent scene' button while in edit mode. This can improve the accuracy of the orientation and be easier to use.
Is there a video tutorial?
Yes, you can watch an extensive tutorial below. It has chapters so that you can skip through the video.
What is parallax?
Parallax is how nearby objects seem to move faster than faraway ones when the camera moves. It's essential for 3D tracking shots with a moving camera because it's what makes the software see depth and track the camera correctly.
Does this addon work on an old PC?
Yes, it even works on my old Lenovo Yoga laptop, it just takes longer.
Does this addon work with an AMD video card?
Yes, it does work but it will fall back to using the CPU for tracking and will take a bit longer.
Can I request features?
Yes, I keep improving this addon so feel free to reach out to me with feature requests or feedback.
