EasyRig
EasyRig - One-Click Humanoid Auto Rig for Blender
EasyRig turns a humanoid character mesh into a fully rigged, animation-ready character in three clicks. It scans the real geometry, places the joints, builds a body and face rig with animator-friendly controls, skins the mesh and gives you a ready animation library. Works with Blender 4.5 to 5.2.
How it works
- Scan Character - select the body, eyes, teeth and tongue and press Scan. Guides are placed on the joints from the mesh itself.
- Build Rig - the rig, skin weights and controls are generated and a short Rig Report tells you what was found.
- Create Animations - 22 body and 14 face clips are created, or import your own BVH motion.
Main features
- Accurate hand and finger detection - five fingers per hand found from the mesh topology. Fingers that touch, overlap or are welded together are separated by width and cross-section instead of being treated as one finger. Curled fingers get joints measured on the real shape.
- Clean finger weights - touching fingers keep clean borders thanks to neighbour voting along the mesh edges. Finger, elbow and knee weights are built automatically.
- Detached parts handled correctly - cloth patches, bracelets, badges, gloves and boots that are separate from the main mesh are bound to the bone they really sit on, so a patch on the upper arm no longer waves with the hand.
- Full face rig - eyes, upper and lower eyelids, brows, nose, cheeks, jaw, chin, upper and lower lips, upper and lower teeth and a three-bone tongue, with zone-based skin weights (lips split exactly at the mouth line).
- Animator-friendly controls - IK/FK arms and legs, auto shoulder, two-bone neck, forearm twist bones, hinge-limited elbows and knees, flat foot controls, per-finger curl and one fist control.
- 36 built-in animations - 22 body and 14 face clips at 30 fps with smooth curves, a real gait cycle and follow-through.
- Real motion import - retarget humanoid BVH files (CMU, Mixamo, Rokoko and others).
- Game-engine export - export FBX for Unreal Engine and Unity.
- Rig Report - a short score and checklist after every build: weights, fingers, face, eyes, teeth, tongue and detached parts.
- Helmet and mask aware - covered heads automatically switch to a body-only rig.
Requirements
- Blender 4.5 to 5.2 (installed as an extension from the zip file, do not unzip it).
- A roughly human character facing -Y in a T-pose or A-pose.
