Tykuii’s Environment Sculpting Kit

  1. Sculpt Layer

    1. Select from the list to designate an active sculpt layer to work on.

  2. Create New Sculpt Layer

    1. Create a sculpt layer on the current actively selected object.

  3. Remove / Delete Selected Sculpt Layer

    1. Remove the selected sculpt layer on the current actively selected object.

  4. Flatten Layers

    1. Manually bakes all layer data onto the mesh, making permanent changes to the geometry.

  5. Toggle Visibility

    1. Disable the layer's influence completely. (OFF if monitor is not glowing and ON elsewise).

  6. Layer Opacity

    1. 1 = Full Value (Full opacity / weight of the sculpt layer onto the mesh).

    2. 0 = No weight / no value of the sculpt layer onto the mesh (no influence).

    3. -1 = Inverted influence of the sculpt layer onto the mesh (opposing influence).

    4. 2 = Double the influence of the sculpt layer onto the mesh.

  7. Create Mask:

    1. Enters sculpt mode. Ensure that you properly select the mask brush (default key is M) and create a masking selection before saving the mask!

    2. After a mask is created, two new operations will appear.

      1. Edit Mask:

        1. Edit the mask associated with the selected layer.

      2. Delete Mask:

        1. Removes the mask from the layer and the system.

  8. Noise Selection

    1. Sine Waves

    2. White Noise

    3. Perlin Noise

    4. Voronoi / Cell Noise

    5. Custom Texture

  9. Noise Scale

    1. Size of the noise.

  10. Noise Strength

    1. Strength of the noise ( amplitude / gain ).

  11. Seed

    1. Randomization of the noise when relevant.

  1. Algorithm Selection

    1. Conformal Willmore

    2. Safe Laplacian

    3. Safe Taubin

    4. Fast Stylized (Experimental)

      1. Fast stylized is an experimental algorithm that is currently heavily prone to issues. Use at your own risk!

  2. Global Strength:

    1. Influence of the algorithm over the mesh.

  3. Iterations:

    1. Times the operation is ran sequentially.

  4. Apply Algorithm

    1. Applies the algorithm to the selected sculpt layer.

  5. Pinch Strength:

    1. Increases the strength of pinching for areas of the mesh that drastically change angles based on curvature.

  6. Chisel Strength:

    1. Increases the operation strength of transition areas between edges and large plain areas on the mesh based on curvature.

  7. Smooth Strength:

    1. Increases the smoothing operation based on the Macro Radius that smooths out areas on the mesh that are designated as areas that are not drastically changing angles.

  8. Macro Radius:

    1. Increases the radius taken into consideration between vertex neighbors in the overall operation.

  9. Threshold: Neighbor distance threshold.

  10. Preserve Details:

    1. Attempts to preserve details associated with pinch strength.

  11. Edge Contrast:

    1. Increases the weight of transition neighbors between edge transitions.

  1. Offset Value

    1. Global distance between string collection instances, can be overridden.

  2. Snapping On / Off

    1. Snap the value to the grid on the closest rounded value.

  3. Direction

    1. Positive or Negative along the selected Axis.

  4. Axis

    1. The axis designated to spawn the string along (X, Y, or Z).

  5. Same as above, sorry for the miss label!

  6. Spawn Clearance

    1. Distance away from the origin of the world.

  7. Collection Slot Letter Designation

    1. User inputs a letter to associate with the slotted collection.

  8. Collection Selection

    1. User selects an existing scene collection for instancing.

  9. Stride Value

    1. Distance of length that the collection is supposed to occupy.

  10.      Add Slot

    1. Add a collection slot, then assign a letter value.

  11. Remove Slot

    1. Removes the relevant collection slot.

  12. Pattern String Text Input

    1. Use letters assigned to the slot collections (their designated letters) to generate strings

      1. E.g. Add slot collection with letter A and another with B

      2. Input A,A,A to get three instances of collection A that utilize either the global offset value or the stride value if not 0.00.

      3. Input A,B,A to get the collection instance B surrounded by collection instances A utilizing either the global offset value or the stride value if not 0.00.

  13. Generate Modular String

    1. Operation that utilizes the Pattern string above to generate the instances.

  14. Sync Instances to Source

    1. Updates the generated modular string instances to match whatever updates were made to the source collection.

  15. Plane Scale

    1. Resizes both the target plane and the cage plane synchronously.

  16. Target Offset

    1. Offsets the distance of the target plane.

  17. Cage Distance

    1. Offsets the distance of the cage from the target plane.

  18. Generate Target & Cage

    1. Generates the cage based on the above parameters.

    2. Recommended to remove the setup if it already exists– currently it doesn’t properly adjust pre-existing setups when changing axes.

  19. Face Axis

    1. Choose the axis (X, Y, or Z) on which to spawn the baking setup.

    2. Forgot to include the label! It is right above Generate Target & Cage.
