Why create a string of different collections if they don't have the same offset or are different objects entirely?
In the same way that lego pieces do not all have to be 4-by-4 bricks, modular kit pieces do not have to be the same object to stick together! This workflow helps you with the creation of connection slots between differing objects to ensure they connect to eachother properly. For example, if we have a modular kit piece with a left side we designate as A and a right side we designate as B, then so long as we use this piece as our standard we can place it next to any other modular kit piece to ensure their opposing end has geometry that conforms to / connects to A or B.
What do you mean by Strings in String Instancing?
The process doesn't actually utilize Strings past the user's input, but since it is similar to how strings are assembled it was utilized in the name. In actuality, you are assigning a label to your collection for use in the creation of the inputted pattern.
Why is Fast Stylized a "menace to society"?

The value sliders very quickly start to cause issues for the sculpt when parameters stray too far from the default values. It is included because it has the ability to offer some desirable results, but usually it is recommended to save before attempting or to steer clear and utilize the approved polishing algorithms.
