Wonderful Addon! I purchased the Extreme PBR Combo Pro Pack, but can't seem to find the animated water video in the download files? Where can I find it? Also, is the animated water the only included or are there other videos included too? Please let me know, thanks!!

Hi Cindy, for any problem, please write me in the BlenderMarket chat, as I am much more responsive in the chat, so thank you very much for the support.
I think in your case you should download the new libraries, but from version 3.3 we have added an expansion installer, now you just need to download the expansion packs that are on your order page.

This is a pretty good plugin with many good textures. Just having all the textures in one place with an easy-to-select plugin form is very useful. A star off for installation though as the files are quite heavy and as it seems there is no auto update at the moment I am not looking forward to re-download the gb of data again. So an incremental auto update as part of the addon would be very beneficial. Also, another important feature would be to have grunge and dirt as node groups that could be inserted on top on any material with a single button to help break up the tiling effect.

Hi Dimitar ! Thanks a lot for the suggestion, we are trying to simplify things a lot, at the moment from version 3.3 there is a new installer that will update the libraries, through the new expansion modules in zip format, so as not to have to download all the files again. This can be used if you switch from version 3.1 or higher, as in the past we had to make a fix on the name of the libraries, so be sure to follow the instructions on your order page.
Best regards Andrew, thanks for the support

I believe that the developers of this addon will listen to their users and improve their problems.
I would like the material node to be concise, like before the addon was unraveled to NEXUS. It's a simple way to organize nodes that connect image textures to Blender's default shader. Please don't use the original shaders. We believe that it is easier and more flexible for users to edit materials.

Hello Tamaki! 👋 It would have been useful to contact me, or take a look at the documentation 😅 Anyway I'll help you from here, I hope it will be useful 👍

Extreme PBR allows you to create "Nexus" materials which are complex (And this is the default) or "Simple PBR" materials which are simple materials therefore easily editable manually, just like in previous versions.

To do this, go to the Extreme PBR Nexus preferences and under the Options tab you will immediately find the Selector on which you can set "Simple PBR" all materials will be simple and easily editable from the node tree.

I invite you to write to me before giving feedback if you have any doubts, it could be very useful, the addon has a lot of settings and usually they are constantly evolving, they are also documented, just go to the Documentation tab above and find the links to the new documentation on which, among other things, I'm putting a lot of effort into building it in the best possible way, and it is constantly evolving. I invite you to take a look, there is also a video tutorial section.

In any case I'm sure you will appreciate this answer as it will help you find the setting you mentioned 😊 (at least I hope you will)

I invite everyone to write me via message, here on the right side there is a button that says "Ask a question", I always reply to everyone (within a maximum of 24h usually even much less) don't worry, I'm here every day on purpose 😀 and I invite you to write to me too, so you can confirm if you managed to find the "Simple PBR" setting

      Best,
      Andrew

The plugin per se is doubtless good, but the download speed around 50kB/s in 2022 is utterly unacceptable for such a large content pack. Maybe invest in AWS or some off-the-shelf cloud service for blender users around the globe?

You are absolutely right! This experience not very good for some users, especially for those who were away from my server, but now there is the new version of Extreme PBR Nexys, check your Orderpage, you will find all the files and links to the new documentation. All slow download problems from the site are now Fixed with the new "exapack" file distribution

If you have doubts message me 👍

Great time saving piece of software. Unfortunately the new version requires you to download the materials library from the manufacturers servers. This is painfully slow. I think it would possibly be faster if it was a single zip file that you could download in your browser instead of downloading each individual file within Blender.

This registering process is annoying I liked the old version was quickI should have saved it somewhere. I love the addon but this registering thing could have been simpler and I still haven't managed to use the system as I could not manage to install the new version yet

Great plugin - just used to be.
It has a lot of great texture maps that can be set with one click, and I used to be able to easily add textures to my models with a click.
But when developers stubbornly move files from BlenderMarket to their platform, I only suffer. I live in China and need to verify a license with a VPN - then I need to turn off the VPN and suffer from poor download speeds - over and over again failing downloads.
I used to spend half the morning downloading the zip file (without affecting my other work) and enjoy the magic of PBR in the afternoon. But now I have to sit in front of my computer late at night and switch between different VPN channels to verify (because it takes at least an entire night to download a 2K file).
This reminds me of a lot of games on Steam - where developers come up with their own launchers on Steam in order to push their own platform - and then everything becomes so unusable and laggy that people have to Find ways to bypass their launcher.
I'm paying for convenience, if I have to live with x kb/s download speeds, why don't I open up Steam-Substance painter and throw in a shader?

    I am expecting a change:
    1. Simultaneous license increases to 2 computers;
    2. Provide a zip download backup option in Blender Market or elsewhere - you provide the [library management] function, but I can only watch it in a daze (original this process should be able to [download zip-unzip-select path] isn't it?)

*Don't say "that's 183G so we had to use our own server", then you can also offer basic, 1K or 2K downloads from the Blender Market for creators who need to work fast.

Too bad, the installation and registration process is long and tedious. And the library download time is endless. For the rest, the quality of the textures is suitable.

About half the materials are really good, and the other half are just ok. I don't mind the small hassle of registering the product but the downloading process is terrible. I spoke to the creator a few days after the Black Friday slowdown and he said it should be up to speed. It wasn't. He was very polite and helpful which I appreciated, but nothing has changed. It's now three weeks later. I have 50mps at home, and everything else downloads super fast, but this is still stalling out. It feels so buggy, and I have to sit with it while it downloads, then when it loses the connection I jump in and manually restart (so slowly as it finds the catalogue again) and then watch for another hour. So, it's not a practical way to download at all. At the moment there's a warning that it's because downloads are slow in Blender 3.0, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. After three weeks I have the 2K materials and am underway with the 8K materials. I may never get around to 4K and others as it takes too long. The add-on itself is very laggy. After trying it for a few days I switched to using PBR Painter which is very smooth. I've got an excellent CPU and RTX 3090 so it should be smooth, but I found the add-on interface of Extreme PBR to lag too much. So, three stars for some good materials, but really, that's all I got. I think a lot of people would be happier to get PBRs elsewhere and just use PBR Painter.

Great addon but as others have commented the new forced library download via Blender is a big annoyance. Having the materials available in packs to download via the Blender Market previously was a perfectly fine option. What's more annoying is that I still have the old library on disk, but there's no way to merge this with the new one. So I'm forced to download the entire library, including all duplicates, again at a ridiculously slow download speed (48 hours!). The developer needs to re-think this one as it's introducing unnecessary friction. Had I not already bought an earlier version I'd most likely be asking for a refund.
