  So there are some good and some bad aspects to this app. First the good: The materials are pretty nice and there is a fair amount of variety. The ability to paint and combine different materials on the same object is very nice, although a little difficult to figure out at first. Now for the bad. The major flaw for me is only being able to use this add on on one single computer at a time because you register the computer to your license in order to access the materials. I understand protecting you asset and needing to make a profit from the work put in, but I often like to switch between different work locations and do a little bit of work wherever I might be. Though it’s possible to reassign the license anytime it is a painstaking process and not really worth it. I think at least being able to assign to two machines at a time would make it much better for me. Also the library is a bit limited despite the variety provided. Hopefully it will expand over time, but for the same price I paid for this app I have gotten many more materials from other sources. Despite that this is a pretty good app and I’d say very helpful if you’re pretty new to blender or don’t have much experience with materials.

  It's great that the software license is for lifetime, but where exactly does it say that I can run this only on one single computer ?
  And if I need more licenses how do I do that ?

  You can install the addon on as many computers as you want, you can move the license. If you had asked me, I would have told you right away 😅

  It has to be said, the current process of downloading assets within blender from a server that can not push more than half a megabyte seems counterintuitive. I hope piracy wasn't the cause of this because it only hurts the people that support the product.

  All and all, I want to love this product. It has so many useful features that come along with the collection of PBR materials. I have found myself going to this add-on frequently for adding detailed textures to my work. The water has really stood out. It is a shame there is such a barrier to use and download this.

  For now, I am slowly downloading everything for the third time since the "EXTREME PBR Nexus update (4.0117)

  The pop up telling me that it has to do with MY connection made me laugh so I added another star back.

  Hi, thanks for your support. You are right, we are improving the server performance as we have been operating with it for a few days. Keep in mind that that download process is also an installation process, so the times add up. In any case, everything can be improved and we are here on purpose.

  I like it a lot, except for the moments you click 'Add New' and blender crashes, seems to happen quite often in my setup.

  I have this addon, and at the beginning tought it is so greatfull. But now it crashes a lot. I am trying to swap materials and saddenly blender shut down without autosave even.

  While the quantity is there, the texture quality isn't the best. I was hoping that the materials would have some procedural nodes in them to tweak in order to prevent things from looking tiled / repetitious. The pricepoint is still probably fair for the raw volume of assets to work off of.

  I contacted the developer with an issue and described the issue quite complete; Describing the issue, what I tried, some specifications and some notes. That took me half an hour to write.

  Then I got as answer that he didn't understand the problem and if I could make a screenshot. (That was all).

  I felt a bit upset because put quite some effort to make the issue clear. And now the first reply was something that didn't bring me any step further. He could at least explain what part he didn't understand, or provide some steps, ask questions, or explaining from what he wanted a screenshot.

  Later on I got a reply in Spanish or Portuguese. I then replied back in Chinese and the ticket got escalated and since then (three days) I didn't hear anything. (It's easy to find out how to contact me).
  I got it solved by myself, but not in the mood to contribute the knowledge.
  Also I placed a review before on Blendernation and that is removed because this was a paid entry on Blendernation . That review short: The addon technically works good, but has barely anything to do with pbr since there is no assurance we get plausible albedo values in this whole workflow. So the name extreme pbr sounds a bit odd for me. (Unless Extreme refers to the amount big free library of textures and not means Extreme good pbr). Qua price: considering how long the addon is being developed, the amount of effective code lines / price ratio, and considering Blender's philosophy (Blender should be accessible for everyone), I found the price a bit to high at the moment. (But it's not my business.). That was in short the review. And that got removed. (Because we are doing business here?). It's a paid add.

  That developers should get some compensation, ok. We know that Donation buttons don't work as we've seen with the Manuel Bastioni lab, so yes a reasonable price, ok.

  Still I give it three big stars despite of this whole situation. This just to prevent to much bad feelings. I just want to write something from my chest in these 3 lines high editor.
  So this is my story at the moment.

  Worth the price, good but not great material add on. Textures are okay for quick mock ups or to get an idea of what materials look good in a scene, but not for final renders at even a medium distance (especially the wood). That being said I do use it for previews and backgrounds and the UI is very helpful and clean.

  It is broken, save often i had to stop blender 4.1 so many times, using and blending a few textures and it crashes, i have 11 Gb free Vram when the crashes happen. Sometimes just the plug in crashes with a error message sometimes it destroys what I done. It cant seem to handle detailed landscapes. Be very careful when using this.
