  There is no easier way to get this amount of detail in this little time with this much customization! This addon is a must have and has saved me literal days worth of time configuring skin details for realism and has allowed me to work on other things like sculpting and working on my animations. Absolute must buy!

  If you're thinking about whether or not to buy this addon I would suggest you do, the results are amazing and realistic for "one click" but you can also go into the material nodes to customize to your liking. I use the global skin addon primarily with human generator and it makes me look like a blender professional when my skills are intermediate.

  I was hesitating since I had already purchased Humanify when it was released. It would be nice had there been some discount for customers already owning the 'light' version.

  But since I am using not only imports from DAZ but also from UE5 (Metahumans) and create people with Blender's own Human Generator, and most of all, since I was very content with the results I was achieving with Humanify I decided to 'bite into the sour apple', as we say in Austria and purchased Globalskin.

  I have so far tried it out on people from Blender's Human Generator, and I would say the price is fair - even considering that I have already spent money on Humanify.

  Globalskin offers a lot more adjustment features to play around with, and finally I am not any more limited to work with DAZ imports only (although they are great and very versatile models).

  Thus – here's my recommendation: if you are working with human meshes in Blender, Globalskin is definitely worth investing in. Even if you previously have already purchased Humanify.

  When you consider that buying just the detail maps from Textures XYZ would cost you almost as much, this is pretty good value. And if you use characters with the UV sets of Daz or Human Generator etc, it can give you fantastic results in one click.

  However there is a big caveat: the one-click realism only seems to work if you've created a young, caucasian character- or at least with the HumanGen version which I got. If you've created a middle aged black character, this isn't great. There are about 100 separate shader parameters to hunt through, half of which are colour pickers for skin colour and makeup, which means you now have a ton of tweaking to do. The skin colour is made up of 5 distinct tone subshaders so just changing the base colour means doing it 5 times. So what this addon desperately needs is a good selection of presets, the ability to save your own presets, and some master driver/macro controls giving you generalised control over age, base skin colour and gender. It's great that you can have so much granular control over every aspect of skin tone, freckles, makeup etc but you don't want to have to tweak every setting every single time. Maybe it's unrealistic to expect the addon to respect the settings you already have on your character, but you don't want all the characteristics you've carefully selected to be wiped out when you apply it.

  I'm still giving it 4 stars because it broadly does what it advertises; the maps are excellent quality and the level of detail in the shader is superb. For caucasian characters aged 20-40 it's brilliant and I am still glad I bought it. But the videos where it makes an old white man or a young asian female instantly more realistic without changing their age and heritage hasn't been my experience so far.

  i dont see any textures when i apply the material, i am using blender 3.6, in 4.0 it works, i wrote an email but got no response pls heeelp :)
