TACHYON STUDIO
Hardsurface Helper Pro
Build hard-surface forms with editable cutters, controlled bevels and focused detail tools.
Live Boolean constructionFocused mesh toolsConfigurable pie menu
The clips below are edited demonstrations. Sped-up practical sequences retain their on-screen speed labels; they are not performance benchmarks.
Keep the shape open to revision
Draw a box or circle on a surface, or use selected objects for Difference and Union. The cutter stays a real object, so moving it updates the cut. Use Boolean Manager to inspect the construction in evaluation order, isolate an operation and apply it when you are ready.
Difference

Select the cutter, make the base active, then keep the cut editable.
Union

Combine overlapping forms through a live Boolean modifier.
Boolean Manager

Inspect evaluation order, isolate an operation and select its cutter.
Give each edge the finish it needs
Control bevel weights, create bevel groups with different widths, and choose between editable support loops and mesh topology. Bevel the Seam offers a live mode and an explicit Apply & Fillet mode. Fusion creates a live join with an adjustable fillet from two meshes on Blender 4.0 or newer.
Bevel weights

Select and weight edges to control a weight-limited bevel.
Bevel groups

Use separate groups and Bevel modifiers for different widths.
Support Loops

Choose mesh topology or enable Keep Editable for a modifier-based result.
Bevel the Seam

This demonstration includes Apply & Fillet, which commits geometry.
Fusion

Adjust a live join and fillet. Requires Blender 4.0 or newer.
Build symmetry and repeated parts
Place mirrors with live viewport handles and arrange linear or radial repetitions. Adjust the modifier setup as the design changes, whether you are laying out repeated fittings or building a symmetrical shell.
Live Mirror

Inspect the mirror plane and adjust the live viewport controls.
Radial arrays

Arrange repeated parts with live count and radius controls.
Add the smaller forms
Cut panel lines into selected faces, turn selected edges into a pipe, extract faces into a separate shell or extend the end of a part. These focused operations work from the component selections you already use in Edit Mode.
Panel Cut

Set width and depth on selected faces; confirmation changes mesh geometry.
Pipe from Edge

Create a separate pipe from selected edges; retain a curve or convert to mesh.
Face Extract

Copy selected faces into a separate object while keeping the source.
Extend

Move the part beyond a selected face plane; this edits mesh vertices.
Understand a problem before changing it
Boolean Doctor scans the construction and reports issues without editing mesh geometry. Its repair buttons are separate choices. Mesh Doctor performs actual cleanup on selected objects. Put the actions you use most in separate Object and Edit Mode pie layouts.
Boolean Doctor

Inspect the report before choosing a separate repair action.
Mesh Doctor

Clean whole selected meshes. See the documentation for the current normals workaround.
Pie menu

Customize separate Object and Edit Mode layouts; see shortcut notes in the manual.
A practical starting workflow
- Select a mesh in the 3D Viewport and open N > HardSurf.
- Stay in Object Mode for Draw to Cut, Booleans, mirrors and arrays. Use Edit Mode selections for bevel weights and detail tools.
- Inspect the shape, cutter stack and bevels. Run Boolean Doctor when the Boolean result needs investigation.
- Apply or bake only the stages you want to commit, and save a copy before broad cleanup or topology edits.
Choose live construction or direct mesh editing
Booleans, mirrors, arrays and Fusion can remain live. Panel Cut, Extend, Mesh Doctor and Support Loops with Keep Editable off change mesh data. Face Extract creates a separate object; Pipe from Edge can remain a curve or be converted to mesh. The documentation explains selection, cancellation and the result of each operation.
Before you buy
Two current installers cover the advertised Blender range: a classic package for 3.3–4.1 and an Extension for 4.2–5.2. Fusion requires Blender 4.0 or newer. Compatibility with every build and operating system has not been verified.
Draw to Cut includes Box and Circle, with Difference and Union. Advanced profiles, surface snapping, grid drawing and saved-cut recipes are not included in this basic cutter.
The add-on runs locally inside Blender. No external application or online activation is required.
Included with the add-on
The supplied package contains the add-on source and icons, README.md, DOCUMENTATION.md, CHANGELOG.md, LICENSE, PRIVACY.md and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. The documentation covers setup, tools and preferences.
