Joint Snapping System

Joshua Schafer in Modeling

How is Joint Snapping System different from Blender’s built-in vertex snapping?

Joint Snapping System is designed around reusable, intentionally placed snapping points rather than snapping to every vertex on a mesh. You can create Prefabs with custom X, Y, and Z snapping layouts, save them to reusable lists, rapidly place them, rotate them on multiple axes, and later select a placed object and press J to reposition it using its original snapping points. This makes it especially useful for modular environments, pipes, walls, blocks, sci-fi kits, and other assets that are designed to connect at specific locations.
