Kiln — Bake Procedural Materials For Godot (Glb/Gltf)
Fixed
• Normal maps now use the baked UV map, including after rebaking.
• Materials with Emission Strength set to 0 now bake black instead of white.
• Incremental bakes preserve existing Kiln texture nodes and repair their links.
Improved
• Baked texture nodes are arranged compactly in Principled BSDF order without moving custom nodes.
• Added Blender 5.2 compatibility.
• Added Emission baking in every split mode, including emission intensity preservation in exported GLB files.
• Added support for curves generated by Geometry Nodes when Apply Modifiers is enabled, while keeping the source curve editable.
• Preserved object hierarchy, configurable output names, and Godot suffixes.
• Fixed baking when the _Kiln collection is hidden.
Fixed a split bake issue where By Object could collapse several Blender objects into one texture set when their names only differed by Blender numeric suffixes, such as Cliff.001 / Cliff.003 / Cliff.004.
By Object now keeps each object as a separate bake group, so Smart UV Project creates separate UV layouts and texture maps for each object as expected.
Also improved error handling for objects without materials. Kiln now shows a clear missing-material message before baking instead of letting Blender raise a long internal bake traceback.
