Regrade it pass by pass.
LayerCake reads whatever passes your Render Layers or multilayer EXR exposes and rebuilds the Combined image as clean, nested node groups — (Direct + Indirect) × Color for every light path, plus Emission, Environment and alpha. Because it's real nodes, you can rebalance diffuse against glossy, mute a pass or regrade emission without re-rendering. Works with Cycles and EEVEE, one source or every source in the tree at once.
This addon is also available for free on kunemann.com. This Superhive listing exists purely as a way to support development — any purchase here is optional, and gratefully accepted.
Select a Render Layers or multilayer EXR node, hit Bake and get the Combined image back as node groups — every light path plus Emission, Environment and alpha.
Everything is built from clean sub-groups you can open and edit — no baked black box. Rebalance diffuse against glossy or mute a path entirely.
Each light path plus Emission and Environment gets a 0–1 multiply factor in a collapsible Pass Factors panel on the group node — tune the mix from outside without entering the group.
Reads the split Direct/Indirect/Color passes on Cycles and the simpler Light × Color on EEVEE, wiring only the passes your source actually exposes.
Object and Material pickers are built inside the group. Click in the backdrop to add or remove IDs — no entering the group, no fighting the eyedropper.
Each Render Layer or EXR becomes its own independent LayerCake, side by side. Bake or rebuild every source in the tree with one button.
Also free, always, at kunemann.com.
