  Genuinely floored by how good this addon is. My renders have instantly gone from looking like pretty good CGI, to near photorealistic. Looks like getting the camera settings right was holding me back.
  Despite the massive increase in quality, the renders are still lightning fast.
  I'd put this addon in the "must have" basket for anyone aiming for realism.

  I found the add-on bit clunky to use on first release, but the later versions are much improved (hence my delayed review). Anything that stops your renders looking like super-sharp CG is useful. You could probably achieve much of what this add-on does in compositing, but it would be way more complicated and time consuming. Having it work 'in-camera' with instant feedback is great, so if you want your Blender renders to look like real-world footage, Lens Sim is a must-have. And the add-on has been created with so much functionally, and such meticulous attention to detail, $40 feels like a small price to pay.

  Love this add-on! Too often my animations look unnatural due to everything in the scene looking crisp from center to edge. Lens Sim adds that touch of cinematic realism I'm looking for. Terrific product, terrific support. Thank you!

  Must have if you are advanced in blender, great addon which gives you much more control for your camera. I love the presets option!

  Unfortunately, having the cine lenses wouldn't help much as the full lens patent is needed to implement it ;)
