Sure calculating is a nice time saver. But imagine you can simply preview your LOD load/unload in Blender without the need to compile, start the sim, enter the flight and open the project, test and see values are too off. With this addon, once you have your LODs you only need to calculate, test the values in Blender and export sure that what you saw is what you get.
