The most tedious part of 3D garment work just became one click.
Stop manually matching, aligning and merging cloth loops. Merge Loops makes zipper and seam connections fast, clean and repeatable.
What does it do?
Imagine two pieces of fabric that need to be stitched together. Normally you'd align edge by edge, vertex by vertex. Merge Loops reads your selection, analyzes both boundary loops, and zips them together cleanly — matching points, equalizing counts, welding UVs, even relaxing the result.
Slit Zip — your one-press macro
Select a closed loop of boundary edges, hit Slit Zip, and the addon separates slit points, auto-zips the seam, and handles loop counts for you, all in one go.
Live preview — see the resulting seams drawn in orange over your mesh before you commit. Zero risk, total control.
Garment-angle presets — Tight, Fit, Garment, Suitable, Wide. One click resets how corner points are detected on your closed loops.
-
Radius slider — controls how far apart border points may sit and still pair, in real time.
Brush Mask — keep seams open on purpose
Paint directly on the mesh to exclude seams from zipping (hold Shift to re-enable). Great for intentional vent zippers, pockets, or openings you want to leave unstitched.
One-click equalization — no more "different counts" pain
Add Loops / Subtract Loops / Equalize Points — instantly even out two loops with different point counts.
Select Match — pick matching points across two banks.
Unequal slit banks or rims? The add-on detects the mismatch and offers an interactive fix dialog, then merges automatically.
Ring Zip — your one-press ring merge
Select a closed loop of boundary edges, hit Ring Zip.

-
Loop Zip & Single Zip
Merge full edge loops with Loop Zip, or a single edge pair with Single Zip.
-
Closed Loop Selection — smartly detects corners and picks the two farthest points so your closed loop is always the right one.

Merge full Closed loops with Merge Closed Loop, using Close Loop Selection.

Production polish
Auto-Mark Seams with adjustable Crease.
Filter Border Points, Zip From 2 Points, Preview Next Seam, Zip First Seam, Merge Edge Loops — a full pro-grade toolchain.
Works entirely inside Blender Edit Mode — no separate windows, no data export nonsense.
Why artists love it
One-click macro replaces a 15-minute manual ritual.
Live preview means you never commit by accident.
Counts are handled for you — no more "bank has 6 points, seam has 8."
UV welding keeps your mesh texturable end-to-end.
Who is this for?
