Mesh Encyclopedia
Mesh Encyclopedia Documentation
Mesh Encyclopedia is a Blender 4.x add-on that gives you a large library of ready-to-use geometric meshes inside Blender.
What Mesh Encyclopedia Is
Mesh Encyclopedia adds a large catalog of mathematical and geometric shapes to Blender.
Instead of building these forms by hand, you can browse them from a menu or panel, click the shape you want, and generate it as a mesh object in the scene.
It is useful for:
- concept art and abstract modeling
- geometry exploration and education
- procedural base meshes
- mathematical visualization
- quick access to uncommon solids and surfaces
What You Can Expect
When you enable the add-on, you get:
- more than 500 mesh shapes
- a sidebar panel for browsing and searching shapes
- adjustable settings for many shapes, such as size, segments, and shading
- last-used settings remembered per shape operator
The add-on is designed to help you discover and create shapes quickly, not to replace manual modeling tools. Think of it as a large shape library plus a set of specialized generators.
Requirements
- Blender 4.0 or newer
No extra setup is normally required beyond installing and enabling the add-on.
Installation
- Open Blender.
- Go to
Edit > Preferences > Add-ons. - Click

Once enabled, the add-on is ready to use immediately.
Where to Find It in Blender
In Sidebar panel, View3D > Sidebar > Mesh Encyclopedia
Use this when you want to browse the full catalog, search by name, and move through categories more comfortably.
Main Shape Categories
The library is organized into four main groups.
1. Convex Polyhedra
2. Non-Convex Polyhedra
3. Triply Periodic Minimal Surfaces
4. Advanced Geometric Shapes and Space Curves
