Where do the numbers come from?
NASA Exoplanet Archive (55 Cnc, default set shown 2026-10-05), Bourrier et al. 2018, Hu et al. 2024, Chen & Kipping 2017, Kopparapu et al. 2014. Full list in CREDITS.md.
Which Blender version do I need?
Blender 4.2 LTS or newer. Older versions (3.x) are not supported.
Does it work with EEVEE?
It has only been tested with Cycles. Materials and lighting were tuned for Cycles.
Can I use the renders commercially?
Yes. Images, animations and scenes you create are yours, including for commercial projects. The script itself is GPL-3.0-or-later.
Do I need an add-on?
No. Everything is procedural and generated by the included script; no add-on and no external textures are required.
Why does f or d barely move?
Their periods are long. Increase DURATION_DAYS in the script to see them move.
Are all planet sizes measured?
Only 55 Cnc e (it transits). The radii of b, c, d and f are estimated from minimum mass and labelled as estimates.
Is the lava on 55 Cnc e real?
No. For e there are hints of a very hot surface and an atmosphere (JWST), but the lava look is an illustration, not an observation.
