Morro - Procedural Favela Generator

Paulo Antunes in Modeling

Morro - Procedural Favela Generator
A stacked Brazilian favela, built from a seed. No textures, no asset library. One mesh, every material in nodes, and it stays editable after you generate.
Generated community seen from above
From one house to the whole hill
Community mode
Grid lays out blocks, streets and alleys over the terrain. Path drops the lots along any curve in your scene. Streets never line up into a chessboard: T junctions, yards and corner lots come out on their own.
Houses climbing the slope
Built on the slope
Follow terrain sits every stack on its own step of the hill. Retaining walls close the gap on the downhill side, and roofs and exposed walls are decided again after the climb.
Rooftops up close
Every rooftop has a story
Corrugated roofing with loose sheets, blue water tanks, laundry lines, antennas, rebar waiting for the next floor, and a tangle of hand-strung wires between the poles.
Slab, pillars and brick detail
Brick, concrete and rust
Hollow brick, bare slabs on crooked pillars, black mould dripping from every edge. 100% procedural shaders, 1 UV = 1 m, nothing to unpack.
Morning, golden hour and night
Sky and sun from a clock
Pick the hour, month and latitude. A physical sky by day, a sodium-orange city glow at night, and the windows light up one by one.
Sunny, overcast, rain and rainy night
Weather in one click
Sunny, overcast, rain and rainy night. Wet streets and soaked walls come from the same materials, not a second scene.
The hill at night with lit windows
Every window has a room
Windows open onto fake rooms with a bed, a shelf and a bare bulb. At night each one decides on its own whether the light is on.
Street level view through the wires
Made to be filmed from the street
Alleys get their own wiring, and sidewalks, curbs, manholes and trash follow the street.
Nine seeds, same settings
1
Generate
Press Generate Favela in the FAVELA tab (N panel). The dice button rolls a new seed.
2
Tweak it live
The building keeps its settings. Move a slider and the mesh rebuilds inside the same object.
3
Fill the horizon
Generate background puts a hill covered in houses behind your shot, instanced with Geometry Nodes.
Same seed, same favela. Transform, modifiers, parent and name survive every rebuild.
Low, Medium, High
Low gives volumes and openings for blocking. Medium adds frames, structure and roofs. High adds props, rubble, wires and stairs. A three-neighbour building is about 94k triangles and one second to generate. Separate cuts a copy into ordinary objects when you want to edit by hand.
Thanks for your time, I hope this add-on is useful!
