ParamOps
I found a bug or need help. What do I do?
Please reach out through the product page on Blender Market and describe the issue. Screenshots or a short description of the steps help a lot.
Is this the final version?
This is an early access release. It has been heavily tested, but updates and improvements are still on the way. Buying now gives you all future updates for free.
My scene became slow / too heavy.
aramOps has a Max Polygons safety limit. Lower it if needed, and disable Live Update while doing heavy edits, then refresh when ready.
The scatter is not updating when I change something.
Make sure Live Update is enabled, or press Refresh to update the scatter manually.
Can I move a scatter setup to another file?
Yes. Use Copy ParamOps on one curve and Paste ParamOps on another, even in a different file.
Does it work on curved or sloped paths?
Yes. ParamOps handles 3D curves, including vertical sections and slopes, and orients the scatter to follow the path.
What are the 28 presets?
They are 28 ready-made scatters included in a separate file. You can use them as they are or replace their meshes with your own.
Can I use my own meshes?
Yes. ParamOps distributes any mesh you assign to the sample slots. The included presets are just a starting point.
Where do I find the panel after installing?
In the 3D Viewport, open the Sidebar by pressing N, then click the ParamOps tab.
How do I install it?
Go to Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions, click the dropdown in the top-right, choose "Install from Disk", and select the ParamOps zip file. Then make sure it is enabled.
Do I need to know Geometry Nodes to use it?
No. ParamOps works without Geometry Nodes. You assign your meshes to the sample slots, pick a curve, and it builds the scatter for you.
Which Blender version do I need?
ParamOps requires Blender 5.0 or newer. It has been developed and tested on Blender 5.x.
