Pipeline Inspector Documentation

Pipeline Inspector is a Blender pre-delivery inspection add-on. It helps you check common asset delivery risks before export, upload, or client handoff.

The add-on is designed as a validation tool. It reports potential delivery issues, but it does not automatically modify or repair your Blender scene.

What Pipeline Inspector checks

  • Texture Presence — checks whether referenced image textures are packed, generated, or reachable on disk.
  •

  • Material Assignment — checks whether visible mesh objects have export-relevant materials.
  •

  • Applied Scale — detects mesh objects with unapplied object scale.
  •

  • UV Existence — checks whether mesh objects have usable UV maps.
  •

  • Normal Consistency — checks for inconsistent face winding / normal direction issues.

How to use

  1. Open your Blender scene.
  2.

  3. Open the 3D Viewport.
  4.

  5. Press N to open the right sidebar.
  6.

  7. Open the Pipeline Inspector tab.
  8.

  9. Click Run Inspection.
  10.

  11. Review the delivery status, score, blocking issues, warnings, and per-check details.

The result will show either:

  • READY FOR DELIVERY — no blocking issues were found.
  •

  • NOT READY FOR DELIVERY — one or more blocking issues were found.

Understanding the result

Pipeline Inspector uses a simple delivery-oriented result system:

  • PASS — the check did not find a problem.
  •

  • FAIL — a blocking issue was found. The asset should be reviewed before delivery.
  •

  • WARNING — a non-blocking issue or uncertainty was found. Manual review is recommended.

Please read the detailed messages below each check. The overall status, score, blocking issue count, and warning count may change depending on the scene.

Important notes

  • Pipeline Inspector is a validation tool, not an automatic repair tool.
  •

  • It does not modify your scene.
  •

  • It is intended for pre-delivery checks before export, marketplace upload, or client handoff.
  •

  • Please review reported objects manually before making final delivery decisions.
  •

  • For complex meshes, the normal consistency check may be conservative. If it reports an issue, inspect the affected object in Blender.
