Pixelplay Beat Reactor
Where can I get product support?
Support is available through Superhive messaging or by email at [email protected]. Please include your Blender version, operating system, Beat Reactor version, reproduction steps, and any relevant screenshots or error messages.
Can I use my own music and audio files?
Yes. Beat Reactor is designed to analyze audio selected from your computer. For reliable results, use a format supported by your Blender installation. WAV and FLAC are good choices.
Are demonstration scenes included?
Yes. The separate Demos and Documentation download includes four Blender demonstration scenes: PixelPlay Logo, Hex Reactor Floor, Singularity Core, and Voxel Pulsar. The demo files are optional and are not required to use the Extension.
Can I bake the audio-reactive animation to keyframes?
Yes. Version 2.1.1 can bake supported object transforms, Modifier Reactor and Geometry Nodes targets, Material FX, Light FX, and Camera FX to standard Blender keyframes. Scene FX and Particle FX are not included in the v2.1.1 bake coverage.
Can Beat Reactor control Geometry Nodes and modifiers?
Yes. Modifier Reactor can drive supported modifier properties and exposed Geometry Nodes inputs. The available targets depend on the selected modifier, node group interface, and parameter data type.
How do I install PixelPlay Beat Reactor?
Download the Extension ZIP and do not extract it. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions, open the menu in the upper-right corner, choose Install from Disk, and select PixelPlay_Beat_Reactor_v2.1.1_Extension.zip. Enable the Extension if it is not enabled automatically.
Which versions of Blender are supported?
PixelPlay Beat Reactor v2.1.1 requires Blender 4.5 or newer.
Minimum Blender version: Blender 4.5.0
Tested in: Blender 4.5.1 LTS, Blender 5.1.0, and Blender 5.2.0 LTS
Render engines used by the included examples: Eevee and Cycles
One Beat Reactor Extension package supports all three tested Blender versions. Separate downloads for Blender 4.5, 5.1, and 5.2 are not required.
Compatibility with future Blender versions will be evaluated as those versions become available.
