Procedural Skin Material — Five Materials, Five Node Groups , EEVEE and Cycles
A fully procedural skin shader set for Blender, covering five distinct conditions: clean, bruised, freckled/sun-kissed, aged, and pale/veined. No image textures, no UV unwrapping, no baking.
It can be used anywhere a character needs believable skin: hero close-ups, medical and horror visualization, stylized portraits, or any shot where the camera gets close enough that a flat texture falls apart.
Can map through Object or UV coordinates, so there is no need to UV unwrap. Pores, micro-wrinkles, and surface relief are generated procedurally, so detail holds up at any scale or camera distance instead of stretching or tiling.
What you get out of it:
- Five finished materials, each with its own dedicated node group.
- A full set of adjustable parameters per material: tone, redness, pore density, roughness, and subsurface response.
- Condition-specific controls: a Color Ramp to pick the bruise tone, Freckle Density and Sunburn, Age (wrinkles, spots, tonal fade), Vein Visibility and Paleness.
- No unwrapping, no texture painting, no baking, no external files.
- Real displacement in Cycles for surface relief and skin flaking; a bump-based fallback in Eevee.
Controls:
Base (shared pattern across all five)
- Scale: overall size of pore and wrinkle detail.
- Tone: base skin colour, light to dark.
- Redness: warmth and blood-flow tint under the skin.
Surface detail
- Pore Density: how tight or sparse the pore pattern reads.
- Pore Depth: strength of the pore bump.
- Roughness: surface sheen, dry to oily.
Subsurface
- SSS Amount: subsurface scattering strength and translucency.
Bruised Skin
- Bruise Tone: Fresh Bruised to Aged bruise tone
Freckled & Sun-Kissed Skin
- Freckle Density: amount and clustering of freckles.
- Sunburn: redness intensity from sun exposure.
Aged Skin
- Age: combined control for wrinkle depth, age-spot density, and tonal fade.
Pale & Veined Skin
- Vein Visibility: opacity of the sub-dermal vein network.
- Paleness: desaturation and cool-tone shift.
