Quadblaster
(Easy Playblasting With Metadata For Production and Animation Review)
With Quadblaster you can export, increment, add metadata, make a fourview collage, ... to a playblast with a press of a button! This add-onbrings additional functionality to Blender's Viewport Rendering (also called playblast) so that animation can quickly be annotated and exported for review.

Features:
- Quickly export a Viewport Render of an animation from the current view together with metadata notes burnt in for review
- Quickly make a four view playblast collage so an animation can be reviewed from all sides (persp, front, side, top) Lots of metadata options useful during reviews: (animator name, file name, action name, fps, Blender's frames, notes)
- Overwrite/increment filenames; Automatically increment the file or overwrite the highest increment
- Quick Shading settings: playblast in flat shaded view, with or without the grid
Installation Guide
- Download the zip
- Go to Blender's Preferences> Add-ons > Install from disk > and select the zip
- Set up the ffmpeg path and Animator's name (if ffmpeg is installed in the default folder you don't need to set it up here)
note: This plugin requires ffmpeg (free) so make sure it's installed!

Quadblaster Updates:
3.0
- Option to chose custom output folder
- Animator name is now set in the addon preferences so it stays persistent across files once set up
- Near losless compression as Blender will now first output a PNG sequence and then encode that with ffmpeg
- Added version compatibility checker
- Font size slider
- Updated addon structure to work for 4.0
- Added code that will check if ffmpeg can be found on the system
- Addon will now use the systems %tmp% folder rather than a random one as before
QoL improvements:
- Export settings are now handled by the addon, they don't need to be set in Blender's Output menu like before
- Playblast is now done as an image sequence prior to encoding to avoid too much compression
- ffmpeg can be set in the Add-ons Preferences if the user is using a custom install path
- Renamed some buttons so it's easier to tell their purpose
- Added new warnings to inform the user about the status
- Reorganized UI panel for clarity
- Couldn't find an elegant way to show the progress bar during encoding
- Add ways to add suffix elements to the filename
- Add notes to metadata
- Add animation state to metadata (blocking, blocking +, spline, vfx, etc)
2.7 (v2)
- If a playblast is interrupted the addon will now properly reset itself (please report issue if found)
- Better UI organization
- Support for single playblast from view
- Fixed bug that didn't change shading to Flat always
- Cleaned up code
- Extensions will now be correctly set on render
