Blender add-on
Super Materials
Weathered, overgrown, lived-in materials without building a node tree. Pick a preset for vines, dirt, dust or rain stains, or paint effects exactly where they belong with masks that understand your model's shape.
Hanging vines, bare roots and rain stains on plain concrete, all from presets.
Presets
A finished look in one click
Select an object and click a card. The effect is built into its material and lands in the Manager, where every slider stays live.
Vegetation
- Climbing Vines: ivy climbing up from the bottom of a wall, with leaves.
- Hanging Vines: vines trailing down over the top of a wall.
- Roots Only: bare woody stems climbing a wall, with no leaves.
Weathering
- Wet Wall: rain running down from the ledges, darkening and staining as it goes.
- Ground Dirt: dirt splashed up from the ground, deeper in the creases.
- Top Dust: dust settled on every upward face and piled into the corners.
- Edge Wear: paint chipped off the sharp outer edges and corners.
- Peeling Paint: paint flaked off in ragged patches.
- Mottled Stains and Repaint Patches: break up a surface that looks too clean.
Three ways to build each one
- PBR: on a free downloaded brick, concrete or plaster texture.
- IMG: on your own image. Matching roughness and normal maps next to it are picked up too.
- A2A: added to the material the object already has.
Manager
Stack them, tune them, copy them
In this walkthrough a plain concrete wall gets climbing vines, edge wear, mottled stains, rain streaks and hanging vines. Then the whole stack is copied onto three more objects, and each one gets its own colours.
- Stack presets on one object. Each gets its own row in the Manager, and one you don't like comes off without touching the rest.
- Tune after the fact: growth direction, strands, branching and wander, leaf size and tint, wear width, run length and stain colour.
- Copy to Selected rebuilds the whole stack, or just one preset, on every other selected object, grown to fit each shape.
- Nothing is hidden: each preset is one group node in your material, so you can open it and take it apart.
Build it yourself
Every preset is made from the same tools you get to use directly.
Library
Free materials from AmbientCG
Browse AmbientCG's free PBR library without leaving Blender. Click a thumbnail and it downloads, builds the full shader and goes on the selected object. Filter by category, search, and swap freely.
Mask
Dirt in the corners with Ambient Occlusion
Finds the creases, inside corners and recesses where grime collects, and bakes them to an image in one click. It renders the same in Eevee and Cycles and costs nothing at render time. Edit the mesh, bake again, and the dirt follows.
Mask
Moss that runs down the walls with Flow Gradient
Pick the edges it starts from and it spreads across the surface the way water would: down walls, over ledges and around corners. Run it uphill for rising damp. Ideal for moss, rust streaks and water stains.
Mask
Rain streaks with Leak Runs
Simulates drops of water released from edges you pick. Each one runs down the surface, wanders, gets pulled into creases, pools on ledges and leaves a streak behind. You get the dark, uneven staining of real concrete and stone.
Texturing
Texture a whole building with Map to Face
Select some faces, pick a picture, and it lands on exactly those faces. No UV unwrapping and no node wiring. Brick the walls, put doors and windows on, copy them along a wall, tile the roof and paint the trim.
Texturing
Leaves, moss and pebbles with Texture Scatter
Scatter cut-out pictures across a surface inside the material, so there's no extra geometry and it renders fast. Mix several sprites, clean up white backgrounds, add colour variations, and mask it to upward faces in natural patches.
Procedural
Grow ivy up the walls with Procedural Vines
Pick the edges vines start from and press Grow Vines. Branching stems climb the surface, follow creases, fork as they go and carry leaves along them. It's all baked into the material, so the model gains no geometry.
