Does it reconstruct full 3D objects, and can I use video input?
It builds a layered 2.5D stage from a still image, rather than a complete 3D environment or unseen object surfaces. Depth bands are not semantic object segmentation; refine difficult silhouettes with exported PNG masks in your image editor. Background completion approximates visible colors. Video and GIF input are not supported: the animated previews are rendered outputs.
Is the depth model included, and can I work offline?
The ONNX depth model is downloaded separately and verified before use; it is not included in the Extension ZIP. The first download requires internet access and Blender Online Access. After that, ONNX depth estimation runs locally on the CPU and can work offline. Require ONNX cancels if it cannot run; Synthetic Preview is only a radial placeholder.
Which Blender versions and operating systems are validated?
Reference2Stage 1.9.1 is validated on Windows x64 with Blender 5.0.1 and 5.2.1 LTS. Other Blender versions, macOS and Linux are outside the completed release validation. Install the supplied Extension ZIP from disk and disable legacy copies.
