ShadeMix
Multi-Channel Layer System for Blender
ShadeMix is a node management interface for Blender's Shader Editor. It operates as an all-in-one mixer and switcher, providing a structured framework to build and organize complex material layers from a single interface, while automatically handling data conversions and math in the background.
Introduction, Workflow & Breakdown
This walkthrough serves as a complete usage guide and answers common questions about working with the add-on.
1. Basic Blending
2. Switch Mode
3. Dynamic Inputs & Outputs
4. Complex Blending
5. Flexible Node Workflow
6. File Compatibility
ShadeMix compiles standard Blender nodes in the background. If a file is opened without the add-on installed, the shader setup remains active and renders as built. The custom interface node will display in red, but the underlying group node can still be edited using Blender's native shader workflow.
