Does ShadeMix work with both Eevee and Cycles?
Yes. Because ShadeMix relies on standard Blender math and nodes under the hood, the results are 100% compatible with both Eevee and Cycles.
Do I need to be a node expert to use this?
Not at all. ShadeMix is designed to handle the technical heavy lifting for you. Whether you are blending simple colors or complex normals and shaders, you just plug them in, and the add-on generates the correct math and routing automatically.
Will my materials break if I share the .blend file with someone who doesn't have the add-on?
No! ShadeMix generates standard Blender node groups behind the scenes. If you share your file or render it on a farm without the add-on installed, your materials will still look and render exactly the same. You only need the add-on to use the custom UI for editing.
Can I still edit the generated nodes manually?
Yes. ShadeMix acts as a UI dashboard, but the actual node setups exist safely in your graph. You can always select the background nodes and tweak them manually via the N-Panel if you need absolute control.
