- Unique Copy: own copy of a material shared with other objects.
- Remove: take it all off, exactly as it was.
- New Pattern / Copy to Selected: new seed / copy every setting to the selection.
Panels
- Global: Rain (master), Pattern Size, Seed, Per-Object variation, Bump
- Material Layers > Wetness: Wetness, Darkening, Dry Patches, Gloss, Shelter

Tips
- The puddles mirror whatever is around them: a bright overcast sky gives silver puddles, a dark sky black ones. Give them something to reflect.
- In EEVEE, turn on Raytracing (Render Properties) so the puddles reflect the scene, not only the sky.
- Want it dry under a roof? Shelter works inside one object: a separate roof object does not shelter the ground below it. Lower Wetness on that ground instead.
- Delete the driver on Ripple Time (right click > Delete Driver) to freeze the rain at one moment.
Good to know
- Puddles form on flat surfaces facing up; they don't flow or fill real dips in the ground.
- Shelter is computed per vertex of each object: a floor made of one big quad can't be dry in one spot.
- Real drops are light instances, but on very large areas lower Drops to keep the viewport fast.
- Curves and text get the material layers only; real drops and drips need a mesh.
