Stylized Basketball Player 3D Model

Rigged, cartoon-proportioned character with a full basketball uniform

Stylized Basketball Player 3D Model is a rigged, cartoon-proportioned character built and exported from Blender. The character has an exaggerated athletic build: a broad, heavily muscled upper body, oversized arms and hands, and a small head, giving it a fun, larger-than-life sports mascot look. It stands in a relaxed A-pose and comes fully dressed in a basketball uniform: a tank-style jersey with a number on the chest, matching shorts, a white arm compression sleeve, a wrist band, socks, and sneakers.

The character is rigged with a full IK/FK control armature, so the arms and legs can be switched between inverse and forward kinematics, and individual finger bones let you pose the hands. No animation clips are included with the file, so the rig is ready for you to pose or animate yourself, but it does not ship with pre-made walk cycles or actions.

Key Features

  • Stylized, cartoon-proportioned muscular basketball player character
  • Full IK/FK control rig with finger bones for hand posing
  • 10 separate mesh parts (body, face, hands, eyes, teeth, tongue, and outfit pieces)
  • 13 unique material slots for body, face, hands, eyes, jersey, shorts, and shoes
  • PBR texture maps: Base Color and Normal maps across the outfit and body, plus Metallic and Roughness maps for the shoes
  • Mostly quad-based topology (54,484 vertices, 55,730 faces, about 107,500 triangles when triangulated)

Included Formats

  • BLEND (native Blender scene with the rig, materials, and packed textures)
  • FBX
  • GLB (glTF binary, includes the skin/rig data)
  • OBJ + MTL
  • Loose PNG textures (packed separately in a textures archive)

Use Cases

  • Stylized sports or basketball-themed game characters and prototypes
  • Character posing, rigging, and animation practice
  • Illustration, key art, and marketing renders

Technical Information

The mesh totals 54,484 vertices and 55,730 faces (mostly quads, with a small number of triangles and n-gons), which comes to roughly 107,500 triangles once triangulated. The model is split into 10 mesh objects, including separate meshes for the upper and lower teeth and tongue for close-up facial shots. It uses 13 material slots. Texture maps are 2048x2048 PNG files for the body, face, hands, eyes, jersey, and shorts, and the shoe set uses a 4096x4096 normal map alongside 2048x2048 base color, metallic, and roughness maps.

Engine / Import Notes

The BLEND file uses a Blender-specific control rig (Auto-Rig Pro style naming), so opening and editing the full rig is easiest in Blender. The included FBX and GLB exports carry the skin and joint data, which is the standard path for bringing a rigged character into a game engine or another DCC application; however, actual behavior after import can vary by engine and target rig setup, so we recommend testing the FBX or GLB import in your target software before relying on it in production. The OBJ/MTL export is a static mesh only, with no rig or animation data.
