Summon, Quick Favourites On Steroids
Is the addon supported on all operating systems?
It should do, however is so far only properly tested on Windows. If you occur any issues with the config manager or the add-on in general with Mac OS or Linux please let me know and I will promptly refund or work with you to address them.
Is absolutely every single blender tool supported?
About 95%. Some things are simply impossible to bind as a result of how they are coded in blender and some others are possible but very difficult and support is yet to come. However these cases are pretty rare, more support is always being added and there is often a workaround to make such binds possible regardless. Contact me if you need assistance!
How are you binding the tools when you hover the mouse over them?
The addon provides two methods of binding. You can set a keybind in the settings to press when you hover the UI item to select it for binding, eg MMB, or you can press right click for the right click menu, and press another key to activate the bind. There are times where it is best to use one or the other and this is outlined in the video tutorial.
How does the import/export config work?
The configs are stored as .json files so can easily be imported/exported and shared with others.
What are summon and resting keys?
Summon keys are the primary keys you set. They are always pressed first and will open a pie, menu, or if held will await a secondary input of a resting key.
Resting keys are the other keys that sit under your fingers when they are in resting position. For this reason they are very fast to trigger as you don't need to move your fingers to other keys to activate them. These are pressed while holding a summon key. EG if 'W' is the summon key, hold W and press Leftmouse(resting key) to trigger its action. Or hold W and press 'D'(Resting Key). Etc.
