Texture Channels

Rynor in Import & Export

Texture Channels

Inspect, rearrange and pack texture channels in a visual node workspace. Build ORM, RMA or a custom mask texture, inspect intermediate results, and export the connected output without changing your source images.

See the channel you are actually using

Move between RGB, individual grayscale channels and a four-channel grid. Inspect a selected node or use its magnifier to follow a particular output. Keep the viewer pinned while you edit elsewhere. A reduced preview keeps the workspace readable; generation and export use the full output resolution.

Build the packing your material needs

Connect image channels, separate RGBA, invert a mask, insert constants and combine the result. Start with ORM, RMA, MRA or the Metallic AO Detail Smoothness preset, then edit the wires. Your sources remain intact and the graph stays editable.

Export usable texture data

Write PNG or TIFF at 8 or 16 bits, or ZIP-compressed OpenEXR at 16 or 32 bits float. Export the combined result, one grayscale channel or four separate files. Existing files receive numbered suffixes. Display tint and comparison settings do not alter exported data.

Designed for practical channel work

·         Native node graph with per-node previews, automatic layout and reroute support.

·         Editable packing presets and personal recipes saved in the project.

·         Independent channels, including RGB values where alpha is zero.

·         Nearest or bilinear resampling, custom dimensions and an estimated working-memory limit.

·         Generate a new packed Non-Color image and optionally add its nodes to the active local material.

·         Large PNG exports use row blocks to reduce quantization temporaries while retaining the same file bytes.

Before you buy

The addon interface and documentation are in English. Open Texture Channels directly from the editor type selector, or launch its graph and viewer studio from the sidebar. Minimum version is Blender 4.5; verified on Windows with 4.5.0, 5.1.1 and 5.2.2 LTS. Other operating systems have not been verified.

Texture Channels processes static single-layer FILE or GENERATED images. It does not bake procedural materials or evaluate arbitrary shader, geometry or compositor graphs. It does not support UDIM, image sequences, video or multilayer EXR. Processing is synchronous. It is an independent addon and does not require Texture Atlas or Texture Resizer.
