TightWear: Bodysuits, Tights, Socks and Gloves From Your Character's Body
No. TightWear reads the body and writes a new object. Our tests check that the body mesh is unchanged after every Make, after the whole test matrix and after Hide Covered Skin, which only adds a Mask modifier and a vertex group (Show All removes them). One Ctrl+Z undoes a Make.
Socks and gloves come out clean in 95% of our stress poses. Sitting and bending at the hips are the hard case for leggings, tights, shorts and full body suits: at most 3 of our 12 test bodies are clean when bent at the hips, none when sitting. Make gives the cloth room for the 10 stress poses, Check Poses shows what is left, and Hide Covered Skin removes 79 to 91% of it for those garments. The full numbers are under Limits.
VRoid: yes, all 9 VRoid avatars in our tests work, with the skin picked out of the body mesh by material. For VRChat: weights use at most 4 bones per vertex (the limit VRChat and Unity use), VRChat and Cats bone names are recognised, and the garment is a separate object you can toggle, exported with the body as FBX. Upload and test your avatar in VRChat as usual; we tested in Blender, not inside VRChat.
Yes. Seams sit on hidden lines and the UV islands are packed with no overlaps; the inside of the cloth uses the same UVs. The four looks are plain Principled BSDF materials you can edit. Our tests export a fishnet garment to FBX with the image embedded and to GLB with its materials, image and skin.
The body's keys that move the covered skin are rebuilt on the garment with the same names, slider ranges and values, so the garment follows a body slider. With each copied key at 1, no garment in our matrix had a vertex inside the body. Drivers are not copied.
Blender 4.2 to 5.2, tested on 4.2.23 LTS and 5.2.2, installed from disk as an extension. The body needs an armature with both arms, both legs, the hips and the neck, in T-pose or A-pose. TightWear and ClipFix install side by side and share no names. In our install test, ClipFix's Fix finds nothing to fix on TightWear leggings on an all-skin body.
