Vessel - Procedural Vase Generator
Which versions of Blender does it work with?
Blender 4.2 and newer. It installs as an extension through Install from Disk, or you can drop the folder into your scripts/addons directory.
Does it work on Windows, macOS and Linux?
Yes. It is pure Python with no compiled components and no external dependencies, so it runs anywhere Blender does.
Can I use the vases in commercial work?
Yes, with no restrictions from me: client work, games, film, product renders, asset packs. The GPL licence covers the add-on itself, not the models you make with it — exactly the same relationship Blender has with your renders.
How heavy is the mesh?
You choose with one click. Low is 16 x 14 segments for blocking out, Medium 32 x 28 for normal work, and High 64 x 56 — about 7,300 vertices, a clean mid-poly that is ready to render. High is deliberately not an extreme high-poly. A Custom mode unlocks the segment sliders if you need something specific.
Do the vases come with UV maps?
No. The vases are generated without UVs, and the 16 included materials are procedural, so they need none. If you want to texture paint, bake, or apply your own image textures, you will need to unwrap the vase yourself — a cylinder projection or a smart UV project takes a couple of seconds on this topology.
Does it use Geometry Nodes?
No. The vase is generated in Python and written straight into the object's mesh, so what you get is ordinary geometry with no modifier stack and no node tree to carry around. Export it, sculpt it, decimate it, retopologise it — it behaves like any other mesh.
