This add on rocks, one of only a handful I've considered purchasing. The in-viewer widget for manipulating UVs, and all the trim sheet functionality is a literal GAME CHANGER. Thank you so much for making doing UVs if not fun, way more bearable.

After using the Addon for few hours i find the UX very confusing and unpredictable.

The Alt U pie menu is context sensitive but its very unclear by whan context, so sometime it will mark a seem and sometimes it will declare an island as finished.

The Relax algo sometimes just does not work at all. i triy on multiple cases. sometimes it is ignoring newly marked seems and dose not do anything. and the only solution is to switch the algo from ZenRelax to Blender's

The Unwrap is strange, it will re-write all your seams instead of re-unfold them. while relax is not always performing you can get stack.

Packing is just very confusing. trying it on multiple cases its only generating either:

    1. Pack everything on top of each other (i did not press any "stack" button)
    or
    2. Packing but Changing the Relax operation i did before, packing everything inside the UV space, but texel density is strange. So its not good because my islands have been "un-relaxed"

Let's go through your points one by one.

      1. Pie Menu
The pie menu includes main and additional commands that are triggered using modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift). Most likely, you were using a modifier key without realizing it, which led to an unexpected result. You can read more about this in the documentation:
      https://zenmastersteam.github.io/Zen-UV/latest/user_interface/#pie-menu

Also, the pie menu and set of Zen UV operators in the N-Panel are slightly different depending on whether you're using them in the 3D View or the UV Editor. This is because the 3D View operates on three-dimensional data, while the UV Editor works with a flat two-dimensional representation of your geometry. This is a core paradigm of Blender: each editor interacts only with its own data.

      2. Zen Relax
To understand why Zen Relax isn't working as expected in your case, we'd need some specific examples. Please reach out on our support forum where you’ll get a quick response and help from the team:
      https://support.zenmasters.team/

      3. Zen Unwrap
Zen Unwrap is a complex operator that can run a whole sequence of actions depending on the selected options (Unwrap, Mark Seams/Sharp, Set Texel Density, Pack). It’s hard to say what went wrong without more details, but I recommend reviewing how this tool works in the documentation:
      https://zenmastersteam.github.io/Zen-UV/latest/unwrap/#zen-unwrap

      4. Packing
Without a specific example of your settings it’s difficult to say why packing resulted in overlapping islands. The change in the relaxed islands might be due to running Unwrap again before packing, what led to re-unwrapping. To prevent this in the future, you can use the Tag Finished operator, which locks finished islands and prevents them from being unwrapped again:
      https://zenmastersteam.github.io/Zen-UV/latest/unwrap/#finishing-system

If you want to preserve your manually set Texel Density during packing, make sure to uncheck "Average Islands Scale" before clicking Pack.

Thank you for your feedback. I highly recommend checking out our step-by-step tutorial, which covers most of these questions in detail:
      https://zenmastersteam.github.io/Zen-UV/latest/tutorial/emergency_light/emergency_light_eng/

And for everything else, our support forum is always open — a great place not just to get help, but also to share your ideas on how we can improve functionality and UX:

This plugin is great. I came from 3dsmax because the plugins in max are not great for unwrapping. I am new to Blender. This plugin is so much better than any other unwrapping tools I have used before, very good results.

      Hi Steve,
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm really glad to hear Zen UV is helping you transition from 3ds Max to Blender. If you ever have questions or suggestions — I'm always listening!

I almost want to drop a star to 4, because I might have to buy the next version if they drop new features I want, but for what you're getting at the base price. it's extremely useful if you are a game developer or model asset seller. Also know they encourage you to buy the latest UV packer add-on from someone else too, which is also costly if you have no budget. Know the alternative is like Maya and that is over $1000 a year :))

      Hi Cade,
Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback! Just to clarify — UV Packmaster is a separate add-on from another developer and not required to use Zen UV. It’s just an optional tool that some users choose to integrate for advanced packing. Zen UV works great out of the box and doesn’t depend on any third-party tools. Really appreciate your support and perspective!
