In a 3D View, open the sidebar with N and select Board. You can also choose Addon Board from the editor type selector or use the 3D View's View > Addon Board menu item.

Open that tab in a 3D View and press Load N-Tab in Addon Board. Alternatively, use Add > Load Tab... to search for it. Each tab gets its own board when loaded this way.

The source panel may require Object Mode, Edit Mode, an active object, or another Blender context. Switch to the mode or selection that makes the original N-panel available. Some Blender-internal C panels cannot be imported.

With Auto Save Board enabled, each board is saved as JSON in your Blender configuration folder's addon_board directory. Use the board-name menu's Open Boards Folder command to find it.

Choose Delete Board from the board-name menu and confirm. Unlinking a Blender datablock without using this command leaves the saved JSON file in place, so the board can return in a later session.

In Auto mode, the available width and Min W determine how many columns fit. Widening the window can add columns; narrowing it can reduce them. With a fixed count such as 2 or 3, the number of columns stays fixed and their widths adjust.
