Assetsentinel: Stop Hand-Checking Every Export — Batch-Qas & Fixes Your Fbx/Gltf Assets For Unity, Unreal & Godot
Who is this tool for?
Technical artists, outsourcing managers, QA reviewers, and marketplace sellers reviewing large asset drops.
Is internet access required?
No. AssetSentinel runs entirely locally and does not make network calls.
Can it auto-fix issues?
No. AssetSentinel is intentionally validation-only to avoid modifying source data. It focuses on safe, auditable QA.
Does it support recursive folder scanning?
Currently, AssetSentinel scans files in the selected folder only (non-recursive).
Can I customize validation limits?
Yes. Profiles are stored as JSON and can be edited for custom studio rules.
Why are some texture sizes reported as unknown?
Some image formats or embedded textures do not expose resolution metadata reliably. When resolution cannot be determined, the report indicates this instead of guessing.
Why does an asset show “Import Failed”?
This usually means:
The file is corrupted
It uses unsupported extensions (e.g., certain GLTF extensions)
The exporter used non-standard settings
The report includes a suggested fix.
What Blender versions are supported?
Blender 3.6 and newer are recommended.
Does AssetSentinel modify my assets?
No. Assets are imported into a temporary scene for analysis and then removed. Original files are never altered.
