Great addon that works nicely together with Keyframe Pro! Very useful for all kinds of animation purposes. Nice to have such a thing in Blender now. Thanks for creating this!
a nice bridge!

Amazing that this exists! Coming from Maya as an animator this was a very important thing to have in Blender ! And done very well - Thank you VERY MUCH!!

I'm always happy to hear people are enjoying my plugins!
Don't forget to download v1.4 :)
A good small tool works well!
Useful sync, but it adds ~10 ms per frame
The sync itself works well — having my reference video follow Blender’s timeline in Keyframe Pro is really handy for matching poses.
However, I noticed scrubbing was choppy, so I profiled the frame-change handlers. The add-on’s AnimListener handler takes about 10.6 ms on every frame change, which was nearly half of my total frame time (23.3 ms → 12–13 ms with the sync turned off). Other add-ons’ handlers were all under 0.2 ms. It seems the handler waits for the round-trip to Keyframe Pro on every frame.
Suggestions:
- Send the frame update asynchronously (non-blocking) instead of waiting for a response
- Throttle updates while scrubbing (e.g. only send the latest frame every ~50 ms, or when scrubbing stops)
- An option to sync only during playback / on frame release
Until then, I turn the sync off while posing and only enable it when comparing with reference. Would happily update my rating if this gets optimized.
