Why is + B or the track selector grayed out during EDIT PATH?
Adding or switching tracks is temporarily locked while EDIT PATH uses a split-screen view. Click SINGLE VIEW on the console, or Finish and Return to Single View in the sidebar, then try again. DONE ends curve editing but keeps the split view, so it does not unlock + B. Hover over the disabled sidebar button for the current reason and next step. If needed, leave Blender Edit Mode, confirm or cancel an IN / OUT range, or finish the current drag.
